GOP Rep. Jordan Calls for Hillary Clinton Probe After Midterms

Ohio Republican Representative Jim Jordan recently weighed in on the news from the Durham report, which claims Hillary Clinton’s campaign paid to ‘infiltrate” Trump administration servers.

Jordan called on Republicans to conduct a complete investigation if they take control of the House in the November mid-term elections.

Jordan, top Republican serving on the House Judiciary Committee, said that the bombshell new federal filing proves that former President Trump was correct in his claim that the Russian collusion tale is a hoax and he was being spied on illegally.

Special Counsel John Durham alleged in a recent legal filing that Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign paid a company to “infiltrate” servers at the White House and Trump Tower to tie Trump to Russia.

“Yep, there was spying going on, and it was worse than we thought because they were spying on the sitting president of the United States. And it goes right to the Clinton campaign. So, God bless John Durham,” Jordan told “Fox and Friends.”

Jordan continued saying, “His investigation is taking a long time. But, we’re getting to now what we all suspected. The only thing we didn’t understand was it was worse than we thought.”

Durham’s filing was tied to the case of Michael Sussman, a former campaign lawyer for the Clinton campaign who is being charged with lying to the feds.

According to allegations, Sussmann told the FBI that he was not working for the Clinton campaign when he handed the agency the documents that allegedly linked the Trump Organization to a Kremlin-led bank two months before the 2016 presidential election.

Sussmann has pleaded not guilty in his case.

Durham investigation

Durham was tasked by William Barr, Trump’s attorney general, to investigate the origins of the FBI probe into the false allegations that then-president Donald Trump colluded with Russia to win the election.

Durham was appointed in May 2019.

Congressional Representative Michael Turner, R-Ohio, said that Durham’s investigation unearthed a “whole new level of corruption and is of grave concern. I mean, this is a threat to our democracy itself.” Turner continued,

“This is so wrong and allegations of such a level of illegal activity that goes directly to our faiths in our own government that the truth must be found.”

Rep. Turner predicts that Durham’s probe could implicate John Brennan, former CIA Director, former FBI Director James Comey, and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

“I think that what we see is not just political shenanigans or opposition research that you would see in the normal campaigns where people are trying to find information out about their opponents,” said Turner.

An angry Trump released a statement following Durham’s filing “provides indisputable evidence that my campaign and presidency were spied on by operatives paid by the Hillary Clinton Campaign in an effort to develop a completely fabricated connection to Russia.”

He continued, “This is a scandal far greater in scope and magnitude than Watergate, and those who were involved in and knew about this spying operation should be subject to criminal prosecution.”

Trump likened the Clinton campaign’s actions to treason, saying, “In a stronger period of time in our country, this crime would have been punishable by death.”

Rep. Jordan says Trump is correct and that Durham’s filing provides “indisputable evidence” that Trump, his campaign, and his administration were being spied on.

“We’ve never seen anything like this in history. So, President Trump’s statement yesterday, I think, is right on target. This is truly unprecedented, truly something that has never happened in the history of our great country.”
