Representative James Comer: Jim Biden’s $140 Million Deal with Saudi Government Benefitted Biden Family

GOP Representative James Comer said Jim Biden, the president’s brother, negotiated a $140 million deal with the Saudi government in 2012 — on behalf of Hill International, a U.S.-based construction company — and represents another piece of the growing evidence of members of President Biden’s family using his name when dealing with foreign adversaries to enrich themselves.

Comer, who serves as chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, said that “evidence continues to mount that the Biden family used Joe Biden’s name to secure deals around the world to enrich themselves.”

Consequently, “the Treasury Department must provide the Suspicious Activity Reports generated for the Biden family and their associates to inform our investigation about the Biden family’s business schemes and Joe Biden’s involvement,” added Comer.

According to affidavits, the documents claim Jim Biden told a former U.S. Treasury official, now working as a private investigator, that he was hired to do the negotiations with the Saudi government “because of his position and relationship” to brother Joe Biden — who at the time was serving as vice president of the United States to then-President Barack Obama.

Affidavits also indicate that Jim Biden was pegged to broker the $140 million deal because of the belief that Saudi leaders “would not dare stiff the brother of the vice president who would be instrumental to the deal.”

Comer repeats his demands for Suspicious Activity Reports

Comer repeated his demands this week for the Treasury Department to handle any suspicious activity reports related to the Biden family’s business dealings.

According to reports, the House investigators plan to subpoena former business associates of the Biden family — specifically those connected to Joe and Jim Biden — if the committee for oversight doesn’t receive the records requested from the Treasury Department.

According to sources, Comer already has copies of affidavits and other cases involving Jim Biden.

Comer maintains that America’s national security could be at risk if Joe Biden, now commander-in-chief, has been compromised by business schemes involving “dozens” of countries, including China and Russia.

An affidavit reportedly cites a former U.S. Treasury official, Thomas Sullivan, who confirmed that Jim Biden was hired to negotiate with the Saudis due to his closeness with the White House.
Sullivan also said Jim Biden told him, “Of course, the [Biden] name didn’t hurt,” and Jim’s wife, Sara, who was on hand for the conversation, allegedly said Jim and Joe Biden, “told each other everything.”

“I asked specifically if [Jim Biden] had attended a meeting with the Saudi Ministry of Trade in mid-February 2012 to receive the final payment for the work Hill had performed,” continued Sullivan’s remarks. “He answered that, to the best of his memory, he had been at such a meeting and that the reason he had attended was ‘because of his position and relationship’ with his brother.”
